Jakes Mammoth cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats
Jake has undertaken a monumental challenge to cycle the entire length of the UK in 12 days of wild camping, to raise much needed funds for Zellweger UK in honour of his nephew Harry. Harry is the son of our very own fundraising coordinator Regitze, and is also affected by Zellweger Spectrum Disorder.
Regitze even joined Jake for 50 miles of his journey from the Severn Bridge in Bristol to Hereford. You can hear a four minute snippet from their radio interview here https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0d1d6zy?fbclid=IwAR3KGi9YEorpsAhstDvsMVLeIq8B8RF1FdkLK-TrTswQn_t4FZgdQ2R2n7M including a guest appearance from the adorable Harry!
Incredibly on day six, Jake arrived at Scotland in the pouring rain still with a smile on his face! His Uncle joined him for the last 100 miles of his journey through England! Day seven has been spent cycling through the beautiful Scottish landscape and we can’t wait to see how he’s getting on.
GO JAKE, thank you for your incredible effort. We are in awe!
